My mom was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer. Luckily, since then, they found out she had a specific gene mutation that would subside with the help of gene therapy. This allowed her to avoid chemo and maintain a regular life with minimal limitations. The pills are $15,000 per month. A pharmacist told them the pill probably cost $800. Insurance is covering the cost, but told her they would cut her at the end of the year. Due to the corrupt medical system, a lot of families can’t afford to pay these insane costs and avoid harmful procedures and surgeries like chemo and radiation. Knowing my time could be limited with my mom, I did an hour interview with my mom to ask her questions I was always curious about and shared it with the rest of the family. I wish I would have done this with my grandpa who I have missed for the last 21 years since he passed. I thought, there has to be a ton of people missing their family members, wishing they had a video of them talking about their life. Therefore, I created Remember Me to do just this. Remember Me is not a fancy memoir, but a raw and uncut video interview to really capture your loved one’s personality and wit. I love to hear people’s stories and am excited to share stories from your family members that you weren’t aware of. Their memory will be on video not just a faded memory.
